MRS. RAY...

I’ve been super busy lately, with lots of plans and things to do. Right now I’m working on building my own brand with both accessories and clothing lines, I’ve been also working on the campaign for the brand and on a model on how would I like the store to look like, even though these are some kind of school projects I’m trying my best for it to be as professional as it can get, I’ve had this idea of building a brand since I can remember so I’m really working hard for this to get real.

But what I really wanted to talk to you about is the new collection I’m working on “Mrs Ray”.
This new collection SS2012 is inspired by the essence of famous surreal photographer Man Ray.
Man Ray was a photographer that contributed with Dadaism and Surrealism movements, he was also close friend with Marcel Duchamp, he was also an expert while working with nudes and was one of the very first photographers that worked with fashion and the avant-garde movement.

What I like the most of his work is the reinterpretation of the female body turning it into beauty by exploring the possibilities of turning it into something new like a violin. The things I admire the most of him is the way he mixes materials and different techniques in his work in order to achieve new concepts, and this is what I’m really looking forward to show in my collection.
