TATTOO TALK ...

Some of friends are constantly asking me about tattoos, if they hurt a lot, how much time does the tattoo artist takes in order to make one, how to take care of them etc. so I finally decided to write MY experience down in order to help everyone out there who wants to get a tattoo or already has one.

I have two tattoos, a bunny jumping towards my toes on my right feet and a quote on the lower back of my neck.  When I decided to get my first tattoo, the bunny, I had wanted a tattoo on my feet for around 3 to 4 years so I was really excited when I finally got it.
After a year of having my bunny tattooed I decided I wanted to get another one, something that involved the way I see things in life, I’ve always believed that we’re are nothing but stardust, karma and destiny, so I got tattooed the quote “solely stardust” in Latin.
Both of my tattoos where made really fast, the artist took around half an hour to 40 minutes, but I guess time depends on how big the tattoo is and if they are using different colors.

When having a tattoo made, I think you need to look out for 3 things.
1- You need to make sure the place where you are getting tattooed is clean and well established.
2- You need to make sure all of the materials they used are NEW, even if they are shaving a little hair in order to start tattooing the razor has to be new.
3- Make sure your tattoo artist understands perfectly what you want, size, shape, color, don’t leave anything to the imagination cause you’re having it for life.
Tattoos don’t actually hurt they feel more like a sunburn.

After having your tattoo made you’ll need to keep it hydrated with a specific ointment your tattoo artist will recommend you to buy, I applied A+D original for a month. If your tattoo starts itching AVOID scratching, that would only take the tint away and ruin it. Also try to avoid pools and long periods of your tattoo being exposed to sunlight at least for 15 days. In order to keep you tattoo looking nice you should keep it hydrated, after a month you can change the ointment for a regular body lotion.
That’s pretty much it, I really believe it’s  important for you to get a tattoo of something that really means something to you, you might be super in love but try to avoid having your sweetie’s name or your favorite band logo tattooed, cause you might change your mind about it and having a tattoo removed… well that DOES HURT! Lol.
